The first word is always the toughest word. The majority of the time writing is not easy for me. The bulk of the time I feel like my writing as a final product isn’t worth the time it takes to pen the words. But I think this common. So when you feel like quitting–when you feel that you cannot seem to command any of the phrasing you want to–when it feels like you have to use a set of plyers to extract every word as though they are stuck in the pipes of your kitchen sink…. well I say you are experiencing writing the way most of us do. It is not the writers for whom writing comes easily that succeed, but the writers that keep sticking the plyers in the sink.
